Celia is a second-year law student pursuing a J.D.-M.A. in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. They are a 2016 graduate of Smith College with a B.A. in Latin American Studies and a minor in Sociology. As an undergraduate, Celia spent time studying literature in Buenos Aires and researching disparities between sex education and college students' sexual habits in Arica, Chile. They spent the summer of 2019 as a Stewart Overseas Extermship Fellow in Mexico City, working with Instituto para las Mujeres en la Migración. Celia plans on focusing their research on the law's treatment of vulnerabilized communities in Latin America, with emphasis on the experiences of LGBTQI+ individuals and communities.
