Matt is a third-year graduate student pursuing a MA in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and a Masters of Public Affairs (MPA) at Indiana University. An IU alum, he graduated with a BA in History in 2014. As an undergraduate, Matt spent time in Buenos Aires and completed coursework at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales. During his time at CLACS, he has focused on studying the intersection of political narrative and public policy in the Southern Cone. In the summer of 2018, Matt traveled to Brasilia, Brazil to complete research and intern at the country’s Ministry of Social Development. In addition to working as a GA, he also leads a Spanish-language discussion section on Food Security Issues in the Department of International Studies. In his free time, Matt enjoys cooking, writing, and the occasional soccer or basketball game.
