Katherine Cashman, Academic Secretary
Katherine originally hails from the Silver State. She received her first BA with a double major in History and English from the University of Nevada at Reno. Go Wolfpack! Katherine began attending Indiana University in January of 1999 working toward her second BA in Secondary English Education. After graduating in 2001, she accepted a teaching position with Monroe County Community School Corporation teaching English. Along the way, she became a staunch Hoosier fan.
In 2011, she received her MA in Social Studies Education from Indiana University and continued with MCCSC for 10 years. After 10 years of teaching Katherine decided that it was time for a career change; she chose to continue in academia by supporting students outside of the classroom. On August 15, 2016 Katherine started at her new position as Academic Secretary for CLACS. She has taken on the task of organization of the office, she is learning to use Framework so she can maintain their new website, she also gets to support students in reaching the academic goals by confirming that they meet program and graduation requirements for their CLACS degrees.
