Spring 2026 Colloquium Series with Barbaro Martinez-Ruiz
355 N. Eagleson Avenue
-

Welcome to the 2025-2026 academic year. I am very excited to join CLACS as its Director. I look forward to contributing to Latin American and Caribbean Studies at IU. CLACS is a meeting space for everyone interested in further understanding the region and its complex histories and geographies. We are so lucky to have a fantastic group of scholars joining us to present and discuss their work as part of our Colloquium Series on Tuesdays 12-1pm. Please consider joining us! We also have an exciting programming with two film screenings, a book launch and special events in collaboration with Latino Studies, Jacobs School of Music, the Healing Garden and the Ostrom Workshop, among other academic units across campus. Keep an eye on our calendar and do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies wishes to acknowledge and honor the myaamiaki, Lënape, Bodwéwadmik, and saawanwa people, on whose ancestral homelands and resources Indiana University Bloomington is built.
